Battery case on controller get heated and melted, no connection with drone
-
I purchased 1x CoDrone Pro and 2x Extra Battery for CoDrone and received it on 2/20/2021. My order # was 4349.
I built the drone controller based on your Youtube instruction and tried to connect with the drone but it didn't detect any connection. Moreover, it got heated and the battery case was melted a little bit. So I removed batteries from the case and changed to new batteries and tried again. But it doesn't get any connection but gets heated in 5 minutes so I just stopped it.
My controller's pictures are below. I confirmed that the wire connection was okay.

I want you to replace with the new one. If it's okay, please tell me how to do this.
I'm ready to send it back to you.

@akihiro Hi Akihiro, sorry about the slower response! We have a few people out of the office this week. Let me have Sheila prep a return label for you. That sounds like it was a defective set, so we'll just replace that for you.
-
@robolink_leila I haven't received any message from someone from your side yet... Could you check the situation?
-
@robolink_leila Noted and thank you for the update. I'll wait for that.
-
@akihiro We want to take a look at that particular controller, BLE board, and battery pack. I will have someone reach out to replace all of those components. Thank you!
-
@akihiro We'll take a look!

@robolink_leila I uploaded more image so please go through it from below link.
In the video, I tried to show the each connection, put 4 batteries and turn on the switch.
Again, when turning on the switch, nothing happens/glow but the metal parts touching batteries get heated immediately.

@robolink_leila Thank you for your reply! I've been out for a while so I'll take more image to share with you in a couple of days. I appreciate your support.

@akihiro Could you send one more image of your controller? I am most interested in the wiring on the Smart Inventor board. There may also be a defect on another part of the board so pictures would be very helpful in diagnosing the issue!

I received two battery cases. Thank you!
I tried again but it gets heated just placing 4 batteries into the case. I kept turning off the switch but the metal parts touching batteries gets really hot in 5 seconds. So one of two battery case was melted but the other one is still fine.
I thought when turning on the switch, the blue lamp would be on/glow. But this doesn't happen as well. How should I do to solve this problem?
-
@robolink_leila I understand and thanks! I'll wait for that.
-
@akihiro It looks like the email notification didn't reach you but the replacement battery packs have been sent and they are on their way!
-
@robolink_leila It's been a while but I haven't received any email to receive a new battery pack from your side. Please check the situation and let me know.
-
Thank you very much for your reply and the arrangement to receive a new battery pack. Just in case, please make sure my melted part was the battery case on the controller side.
After receiving that, let me rebuild and check the connection between controller and drone, again. If I found anything further, let me ask here.
I'll wait for the email.
I appreciate your sincere support.Regards,
Akihiro
